The Hva and UvA Green Weeks were launched on Thursday 21 April 2022 with the exhibition ‘All Gone’.  The exhibition is about future landscapes and stories with audio stories, a tarot deck, and a wall tapestry, All Gone offers tools for reflection on the present and possible futures of living with climate change.

During the opening Sabine Niederer, Professor of Visual Methodologies and founder of the Visual Methodologies Collective gave an overview of the Climate Futures Program of which the exhibition ‘All Gone’ is a part. The exhibition presents stories and landscapes from the near future, co-authored with an AI trained by the Visual Methodologies Collective.

Titles such as ‘All Gone’, ‘Poisoned’, and ‘The thirst’, contribute to a glimpse into the near future. Tarot cards with recognizable colors and at times unrecognizable shapes sketch a vision of future landscapes.

Personal diary entries from the future build a picture of a world that is yet to come. The title story ‘All gone’ is a diary fragment about how someone discovers that everything has disappeared, the mountains, the creek, the trees, and the animals.
